Overpriced strawberries and rude cashiers. This was my first time visiting Let me start by saying that the price per gallon of strawberries was the highest in here. My mother and I were buying a gallon each, but when my mother noticed that some strawberries in her gallons had some rotten spots, she asked to get a different gallon. The seller tried to reassure my mother by saying that "they all like that, just need to be washed", but when my mom still asked to get a different gallon, the sales lady took one strawberry from another package and literally threw it into my mom's package. Expensive strawberries and very rude people that sell them. Not only I will not return, but I will most definitely share my experience with family and friends, and point to places where delicious strawberries cost less and people that sell them are pleasant to deal with.
Don’t eat at the restaurant. I’ve eaten here on multiple occasions over the past 6 months just to say I’ve tried my fair share. From the egg salad to the Reuben to even the “Famous Fort Mill burger”, quality of the food just isn’t there. Ironically they have a butcher shop with a great selection and quality that can’t be beat. The burgers seem like they are just frozen box patties. It’s just not good food; sloppily made for “locals” who want the charm and appeal of a country store meal but don’t know any better about the actual food they’re eating. I have not tried the bakery yet, although it seems to be just fine. On the other hand, the country store itself is really great. The selection of local preserves, sauces, marinades, etc is fantastic. The butcher shop I mentioned before is awesome, and I’ve got a friend who gets all his meats exclusively from here. I just wish the restaurant did the rest of the store justice. I won’t say that they don’t get their meats directly from the butcher shop, but either way it doesn’t taste good. Something’s gotta change there.
The whole store had a modern meets country feel about it. From all of the fresh produce(peaches included) to the homemade jams and butters. There was a bakery, a restaurant and a custom butcher shop as well. The store was exceptionally neat, clean and very well lit. Handicap accessible, with a huge parking lot as well. The staff was friendly and personable. If you're near Fort Mill, SC, this is a store that's well worth visiting. If you took the time to read this post, please take a 1/2 second and click like. Thank you.
This place is great, from pancake mix to filet to bread they have all the goods. Gotta love this place and the exceptional service. Support local business!
Not just a gas station. Great little place to stop and grab your favorite specialty mixes (bread, dip, dessert, etc), along with something from the butcher, the baker and the produce section. Stop in to grab a bite at their restaurant. Top it off with an ice cream or a souvenir and you have got an amazing go to store.
