Flipside Burger and the fries were delicious. The paper straw didn't hold up too well but that's the price you pay to combat pollution. Plenty of seating was available during lunch time, although I sat at the bar. Staff was very attentive and super helpful in choosing my meal. I would recommend this spot over a few others just across the NC border for sure.
A GREAT experience with delicious food!!! The staff were very welcoming and practiced safety measures. The food was phenomenal!! The prices were reasonable!! Will definitely go back!
Breakfast is really good! pancakes are great and the breakfast sandwich is wonderful! For dinner the Lobster Mac and cheese and brussel sprouts are really good as well as the braised short rib. There are a lot of food items and beer sources locally which is great. Only thing I had an issue with was one of the desserts just isn't good and when the waitress asked i told her it just wasn't good and I had clearly taken one bite and didn't eat any more and she apologized but did nothing to remedy it (offer something else or comp it). The steak was also unremarkable and I would recommend trying something else. other than that the restaurant is wonderful :)
We were so hopeful about eating here, but the service, lack of a floor manager, and getting burnt food made this experience very unpleasant. The server took our order gave us the check and that was it. I had to go get silverware, refill my own drinks, and some other server brought out our food. When I asked if there was a manager, the hostess said that she was in the kitchen. She was in there the whole time we were there. Never once come out to greet tables. My wife’s food seemed to be cooked properly, but as you can see in the pictures, I didn’t have much of side dish. Prepared to be cramped because the sitting is CLOSE. The second star is for the potential that I see and the other food. If you don’t like cramp places with horrible service, you may want to consider an alternative.
So my family and I tried Flipside today for breakfast at the Fort Mill location. It was around 10 and pretty crowded, but thankfully we found seats at the bar. My son ordered a buttermilk waffle with a side of cheese grits. I had the Flipside special, grits, 2 pieces of bacon, a scrambled egg, and a biscuit with sausage gravy; and the hubs had shrimp and grits with a side of toast. We each had drinks and the total came out to be $57... a little pricey, but the food was great and seasoned great. The atmosphere was good and the bartender who served us, Jerrie, was prompt with our drinks and very friendly. The best part is that we didn't have to wait long for the food to be delivered! I'll definitely try again for lunch.
