Friendly service and atmosphere, and I love the food. I typically come here for breakfast and eat in the porch area so that my kids can play on the window ledge. It’s very kid friendly with kids portions enough for my growing boys, and kids meal prices make it very affordable. I always feel good about their fresh ingredients. And the usual is that the kitchen turns around orders with little wait after ordering. I do avoid some of the busier hours so that we can relax for our meal, and I never feel pressured or rushed. I also like the convenience that I can pay my bill by scanning the receipt. This option keeps it on your time. I recommend. Enjoy.
We have been to a few different locations of the Famous Toastery and it’s been a delight every time. The Belmont location had the best experience of all of them, but we were very happy here with the service, food and being able to be seated right away when we walked in on a Saturday morning. All of the menu items that we’ve had have been great and we even tried some of the daily specials which were delicious, AND at a good price. We will definitely be coming back.
Food and drinks were good, the wait wasn't too long. Friendly service. Only complaint is that it was uncomfortably warm and sticky, which overshadowed our time there. We want to return, but maybe once it cools down some. I think it felt better outside than it did inside, because at least there was a breeze outside.
The Famous Toasters is a very comfortable dining experience...they offer breakfast items and sandwiches. I had the store made corned beef hash with 2 eggs and raisin toast. The eggs were covered with a delicious hollindaise sauce. The hash is made from scratch with large chunks of meat and very tasty potatoes. There were 3 in our party and someone ordered a burger...it was not a frozen patty as you get with most burgers you order other places...the taste was fresh and it was cooked perfectly to a medium well ...he ordered fresh fruit as his side and that was yummy as well...it had 2 kinds of melon, grapes, and fresh pineapple...the portions are good sized and you don't leave hungry...if you're in the neighborhood and in the mood for good brunch offerings give the Famous Toasters a try...I plan on visiting again soon...
It was our 1st time here. It was around 11:15am. There were many open tables, but we were told it would be about a 45-minute wait, due to being short-staffed. We stayed to give them a chance. The inside is dark, dreary, and old. A fresh coat of bright paint would greatly improve this location. It could use a good cleaning, too. Being down during COVID-19 would have been a great time to focus on the interior. There is an enclosed patio with a wood stove. That's probably pretty nice when it gets cooler. When we were finally seated, about an hour later, the waitress came right over and took the order. Food arrived about 10 minutes later. My wife said her avocado toast with goat cheese and side of fruit were good and fresh. My single pancake was a bit disappointing. It was kind of crusty, and I was expecting at least 2 pancakes. The bacon was perfectly cooked. My side of scrambled eggs was quite wet! I've never been served scrambled eggs this wet before, but it was too busy to complain about it. We may give them another chance once they increase staffing. There's definitely potential here, if they focus on the interior and quality of food being pushed out. I'd recommend giving this place a try, once staffing has improved. Oh, I almost forgot to mention... the place may be haunted. A table of dirty dishes, with no one near it, had a glass fly off the table onto the floor. One patron yelled out, "It's a ghost!" At least there's entertainment there. LoL
